Software Tree was founded by Damodar Das Periwal, who has an extensive background in databases, transaction processing, as well as distributed and object-oriented technologies. Damodar has more than 25 years of industry experience, having worked at leading companies like Google, TIBCO, Borland, Ashton-Tate, and Tandem Computers. Damodar has an MS (Computer Science) degree from University of Wisconsin (Madison) and an undergraduate engineering degree from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (India).
Damodar has been awarded an Original US Patent 6,163,776 for inventing SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR EXCHANGING DATA AND COMMANDS BETWEEN AN OBJECT ORIENTED SYSTEM AND RELATIONAL SYSTEM. This process dramatically simplifies integration of object-oriented applications with relational databases.
Damodar has also been co-awarded an Original US Patent 5,644,768 for his work done at Borland International on SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SHARING RESOURCES IN A MULTI-USER ENVIRONMENT.
Hira Ranga is an entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in the high technology industry. He is a co-founder of 3MTS, a developer of innovative solutions for testing electronic systems and components. Prior to that, Hira was Credence's Vice President Strategic Software, where he was responsible for the development of the company's strategic technology roadmap, defining new generations of ATE software and building the tools and resources to implement them. Prior to his leadership role at Credence, he was employed with Advantest America as Deputy General Manager, where he recruited, developed, and managed the production development organization. His successful career also includes employment at Square D Co. where he was the Director of Engineering; LTX Corporation, where he designed and implemented new software for VLSI and mixed-signal testers; and Teradyne, where he served in variety of engineering positions.
